I built this as a dust collector a few years ago. Nothing special, the scheme is loosely based on the movie "The Blue Max" and is covered with ink jetted lozenges printed on everyday printer paper. The cowling is hand painted as are the markings and the prop. I lost the motor somewhere along the way, so the prop is super glued to a wood screw.
That's a good lookin' Fokker there Mig. Great looking camo pattern!
That movie The Blue Max was on TV a few months ago. I had never seen it before, and thought it was pretty good. But with George Peppard in it, I kept expecting to see the rest of the A-Team show up.
Looks nice. I wish I had done a scheme like that. When I built mine, I thought that all DR1s had to be red. Nice to see the lozenge and camouflage schemes.
Very nicely done. With regular paper. That's a new one to me. Nice job. Yeah, at least it's not red. One paint scheme the Germans used on the DrI was a dry brushed streaked green color. Maybe one day I'll build a model like that.
