Focke Wulf FW-190 502 (Finally I added the missing pics)

I want to share this project, because it was born of several other models (model kits 500 and 900) that I started build at the end of 2015. It has been a journey of learning from own experiences and above all of so many experiences that are shared in this forum. My target on this model has been to get lowest possible weight and of course, make this wonderful plane fly more than 20 seconds. I had to reduce the weight of each piece in order to do not lose stiffness on the body and wings. Guillows laser cut is extremely accurate. Attached you will find my small collection of finished and unfinished planes.

This is the work I did on the formers, I tried to lose as much weight as possible. I just left the former sets A and B as they are to automatically gain weight before the point of balance.

I tried to lose weight from any place, so as you can see on the following image, the wing, stabilizer and rudder were reshaped piece by piece.

Finally I got it pre-finished. I still must to paint it and fix the deep shades I got on my previous FW 190 and Me 190. I will share more photos with details of the nose and other areas.

In the following pictures you can appreciate the work I did on the nose to make it removable. The propeller can also be separated if required. Rare earth magnets are a great help because they have a great pulling force and are small enough to do not increase the weight.

The main challenge has been to reduce weight. I worked with a Dremel and with a blade on the formers and I think the following images will let you see what I achieved. However, I think I could have reduced even more weight, maybe the next time I will start directly from light contest balsa and work to generate even narrower profiles in one piece.

The weight reduction that I achieved is considerable, from 39.88 gr on my first FW-190 to 24.98 on this new FW-190. I still have to add clay but the required amount will be minimal. I will notify you later about the final weight.
