I have the F-5 as well. I have another F-5 and a Tomcat on the shelf. What I plan is to blow up the F-4 plans to big, like 120" length...

You could put a couple of those big costco fans in there and drive that thing around the neighborhood..
An F4 that size could hold a car battery to power them.

Small update on my F/A 18...

It is coming along..
Still need to work on the landing gear and wheel wells, also the cockpit, centerline auxilliary fuel tank, missiles,
And whatnot.
I have markings for a Marine VMFA-122 Werewolves
It won't be the cag...just one of the boys
I think I might make a base for it so it can be posed in flight.

Still working on the LG.. Need to place the scissor link and launch bar on the nose gear and also add additional struts and hydraulic lines to the main gear...
Tons of work to do yet before paint, detail, and demarcation lines can be added..

still working on the landing gear but the doors are on, soon the wheels will be painted and the wheel well details installed..
I'm not real pleased with the canopy. I think it needs to be cut down a little more - but that means taking out the seat and lowering the headrest along with a lot of other changes....oi..
But the wing walk is painted on, the tail and stabilizer parts installed, a nice coat of paint and one of gloss clear - two more coats of the clear and I can add the decals, draw the panel lines and then a final clear satin coat.
Meanwhile I am putting the Sparrows together as well as the wing tip rails for them, obviously they have to go on before the final clear coat.

Two more of these wonderful kits remain, the F16 Viper and an F4 Phantom
I think the viper will be finished in the AKNG scheme and the Phantom as a
Navy jet

I have cleaned up that horrible canopy edge - used silkspan, a white glue and water mixture, a new non-toxic sealer (my lungs are happy) and finally - a brush on of the semi-gloss clear acrylic.
I will post a picture of it tomorrow hopefully

This solution had the virtue of being the most expedient and easy of the choices I had..
I did not want to remove and redo the canopy, cockpit rails, remove and lower the seat and then have to refinish the nose section... Using the silkspan and carefully trimming it after it had tightened was much easier.

this looks great - and I love that you chose to configure it for final landing approach. American navel aviation is awesome.
