INFLATION?

Ask other modelers for a little help / knowledge ?

The inflation of kit prices are okay with me as long as Guillow prices them well enough to stay in business. I'd rather pay more than to see the company go under.

If the prices get too high because the rising cost of balsa wood and the replacement of worn dies, I'd love to see Guillow introduce short kits.

By this I mean, kits where the plans, decals and custom parts (like canopies and nose cowls and spinners) are included, but the balsa and rubber are not.

Then we would select our own wood according to what we plan to do with the model. Static builders might use birch plywood, spruce or bass. Flying enthusiasts could use contest balsa or foam. Competitors could buy contest rubber.

I could see switching the marketing scheme and making the short kits only and then selling the precut or lasercut balsa through the spare parts page.
